  4. 1) The video shows us how England managed took a lot of countries and colonized them one by one, even when they where just a tiny island.

    2) The video is really funy and easy to watch and understand, explains everything in a direct and crystal clear way.

    3) I didn't know that England had invaded that many countries. In fact, there are only 22 countries in the world that haven't been invaded by them.

Its a funny video which explains very clearly how British Empire extended its octupus arms to conquer many countries... They took and still have our islands... I learned that hardly anything came from Britain though tea was from India, cotton from America, etc. About tea, the second question says "What was the West India Company?" You mean EAST India Company don´t you Stella?

WHAT NEW information have you learned?
We are studying about british empire so it is interesting to learn this information about Britain.
I didn't like the funny video because I love England and Great Britain and I didn't like the way they joke about it, for instanse about the tea, the biscuits and the name of the queen Victoria.
One of the things I have learnt in this video was that one of the first conquerors died when his ship was sank.

  10. The video shows the History of British Empire, the countries that were colonized and then those that declared their independence. It also shows how Britain depends on colonies trade and how the colonies products were adopted by the british as theirs.
I didn´t know that Britain after the world war II was broken. It´s hard to believe that even they won the war they have no money left.

  18. 1. It is related to our study material to study the history of the British Empire. And most important, the way it grew up. also, the kind of relationship they had with the world and their colonies.

    2. I like the video because it wasn't boring and shows the real deal that Great Britain (GB) had with the rest of the world. It does was a big empire but built by wars and blood. I think that greatness is not the only thing to keep in mind, when we refer to GB, and the video reflects that.

    3. I learned more about the colonies that were part of the British Empire.

  19. It related to what We are studying since It explains how The British Empire expanded itself , always looking for new lands and how It ruled all over its colonies but also the world in certain point in the history.

Since I like Geography , It was much easier to understand where the colonies were located. That´s why I like the video.

After I watched the video , I understood why in some countries English is the official language , It´s because they were settle by The British Empire.

  23. 1) The video is directly related to our study material regarding the fact that we are studying this specific language which is English, the video somehow puts in perspective the history and the geographic movement of this language. Also, to understand the point of why we have it as a subject nowadays because it’s prevailed as a general tongue.

    2) I liked the video in the way that, even though it’s a brief story, it is very shocking what had happened in the years before when a “small island with huge ideas” was writing its history. In addition, the funny and hilarious production makes it soft for the viewer when it comes to speak about sensible subjects, like slavery and other big real facts. For example, when the butler sings that most of the things the British Empire had, was “frankly” stolen, makes a clear judgmental statement.

    3) I have learnt that British tea comes from India, and also, that a third of the world was ruled by the British empire once. The hundreds of wars that were fought for dominance and conquering of different strategic geographic positions.
